In December 2017, Maroma, Auroville, celebrated its 40th anniversary!

It all began in 1977 with Encens d’Auroville, a single line of incense packets with 12 fragrances. Then, the product range extended and Encens d’Auroville became Maroma, retaining Encens d’Auroville as the flagship incense line.

Today, Maroma offers a wide range of home fragrances and body care products, whose signature definition is ‘Natural – Fairtrade – Earth Friendly’. In 2018, Maroma counts:

  • More than 83 employees of which, 15% have completed more than 25 years with the company
  • 5 years of membership at WFTO (World Fair Trade Organization) and 7 years with Fair Trade Forum India
  • 70 retailers in India
  • 20 distributors across 15 countries
  • 18 new products
  • 170 all-natural products
  • 100% green energy usage
